Facial peel review: ViPeel

November is National Healthy Skin Month and so I thought it a great time to highlight a new skin treatment we are offering in the office. The cooler, dryer months are really tough on our skin, even in a fair weather climate like San Diego.  It seems the dryer weather (and therefore dryer skin) makes the wrinkles, brown spots, acne scars and redness on our face stand out even more.  This is a good time of year to rejuvenate your skin, since we spend less time outdoors and less time in the sun damaging our skin.

I've spoken a lot recently about PRP facial treatments, which injects your own platelet rich plasma into your wrinkles or problem areas. But for those of you who are not comfortable with needles, and for those who want quicker results (PRP takes up to 2 months for results to peak), I'd like to suggest the ViPeel.

I've actually done the peel myself and have been enthusiastically recommending it to many of my patients. One of the best aspects of the ViPeel is the nearly pain-free application. The solution does not burn like other peels. I felt more of a tingling sensation. It is also effective for all skin types, so everyone can enjoy the benefits.

Soon after the peel, your face looks like you've gotten a bit of a tan. About day 3 and 4, your skin begins to peel. There is no discomfort in this process, and the peeling is light.  It's not at all like peeling from a bad sunburn - you can still go out in public and conduct business.  In a week's time, you've completely peeled and your face boasts renewed, glowing, healthy skin.  I felt really great after the peel and got a lot of positive comments from patients. I loved the simplicity of the process.  ViPeel also offers skin care products to compliment the peel.

I have just recently, in the last six weeks or so, started offering ViPeel. I've heard nothing but great comments and enjoyed fantastic results. My patients who have tried it, are loving it.  With that, I wanted to let you know more about it and would be happy to schedule an appointment for the treatment.

I'll give you some ViPeel links, in case you'd like to read up:
